Relevent Sports Group partners with Youth RISE

Updated: May 9, 2019

Relevent Sports Group (RSG) strives to partner in meaningful ways with host communities beyond simply playing a soccer match. Through the International Champions Cup (ICC), RSG is partnering with charitable organizations in each match city to leave behind something that will benefit the community, elevating soccer and the joy of playing the game. This new initiative is called the ICC Legacy Project.

Youth RISE is honored to be RSG’s ICC Legacy partner in Kansas City. RSG felt that Youth RISE’s mission to reach at risk youth through soccer and to provide the opportunities that may not otherwise have been afforded to them due to their socioeconomic status and other factors was a perfect fit with the ICC Legacy Project.

RSG’s support of Youth RISE includes the following:

  • Underwriting of entry fees to select tournaments, so Youth RISE players can be scouted by college coaches.

  • Donating soccer balls & other playing equipment, such as pop up goals, vests, cones, ball inflator, etc.

  • Purchasing track suits and back packs.

  • Providing thirty (30) tickets to the ICC Kansas City match featuring Bayern Munich v AC Milan on July 23rd at Arrowhead Stadium.

On April 2nd at Arrowhead Stadium, executives from the Kansas City Chiefs and RSG were joined by Ann Murphy, Executive Director of Youth RISE, along with Chiefs kicker, Harrison Butker to celebrate the partnership announcement.

RSG will continue to look for opportunities to engage with Youth RISE in the future and maintain a long-term relationship.
